Since November 2017, UNESCO has declared on May 16 International Day of Light - International Day of Light - an annual event to raise public awareness around the world about the importance of light and technologies that exploit the properties of light. On the occasion of May 16, demonstrations and events are organized throughout the world with light and what it means for the whole of Humanity as its main topic.
The World Lightpainting Alliance (LPWA) therefore decided to support the event by proclaiming the International Lightpainting Day (ILPD) by organizing and promoting lightpainting activities all over the world.
We at lightpainting Bologna did not miss the opportunity to organize small lightpanting projects, for us full of meaning, both in 2018 and in 2019.
